Venetian Resort, Las Vegas Nevada

Description

The Venetian is one of the nicest spots in Las Vegas! A great thing about it is that the shopping area is a non-smoking area. The shopping area is also where the canals and gondolas and little streets that look like Venice are, all under a bright indoor "sky"! You can have a delicious chocolate croissant or pastry at Paris Baguette, sitting "outside" at the sidewalk tables or in the more hidden upstairs area. Then continue on to St Mark's Square. Here, you will be in a huge square, like the one in Venice, surrounded by magnificent buildings, all indoors! It's really an amazing feat, the building of this hotel!
Wander around some more and you will come to the entrance, where there are Renaissance-style wall and ceiling paintings. Continue outside and you will see amazing Gothic columns. They will take your breathe way. Look out on the clocktower outside, and more canals and archways. It's impossible to get enough of this beautiful place!
If you're hungry, there's a noisy food court, but it's not a very pleasant way to eat. The restaurants are so expensive in The Venetian though! I recommend Tintoretto Bakery if you just need something small because it is in such a nice little "street" and doesn't break the bank. The restaurants in St Mark's Square are formal and expensive.
The Blue Man Group have their show at The Venetian. This is one of the best things I've done in my life! They surprise you in the audience until you're laughing so hard and filled with this amazing childlike sense of wonder and ecstacy! It's way worth going to see them!
Cross the pedestrian bridge across Las Vegas Blvd to The Mirage Resort and check out the lush atrium with endless varieties of orchids and bromeliads, as well as the colorful coral aquarium in the foyer, and the real white tigers in the casino! If you're hungry, enjoy a Mango Chicken Tandoori Pizza at California Pizza Kitchen inside the casino.
Or, walk to the north to Wynn Resort, and check out their amazing forest-covered mountain and the dazzling waterfall behind it. See inside, the fairytale flowers and ceiling.
At night, it's fun to see three free spectacles all in a row: the pirate show at Treasure Island, the volcano erupting at The Mirage, and the amazing fountain show at The Bellagio. All are within walking distance, and are seen from the sidewalk of The Strip. Check the showtimes so you can plan your night!
