Pleasant Hill Park, Pleasant Hill, San Francisco California

Description

Pleasant Hill Park is a large park with two colorful play areas, a public pool, and beautiful redwood trees. It is located in the fairly boring suburb of Pleasant Hill but it's a nice place to spend a morning with your kids. There's some interesting play equipment- one looks like a UFO. A gated area has a playground for toddlers with tunnels and a rock climbing wall. The best playground is the one surrounded by handprints painted on tile. Here there are tire swings, a structure with interesting steps to balance on, a tunnel slide, a disc you can stand on and spin yourself around, and climbies that arch up high. All around are wonderful healthy redwood trees. This is the great thing about Northern California!
There is a great Greek place called Daphne's Greek Cafe just a block from here in the mall that lies between Contra Costa Blvd, Crescent Dr, and Monument Plaza.
Sick of the burbs? Head over to the wild city of Berkeley.
