Note: The City has abandoned this park in recent years.

Santa Rosa Park is a fun place for kids to burn some energy. The playground has spinners, rope bridge, rock climbing sections, play house, fire pole, wobbly ladder, and swings. On the far end of the park there's an amazing skate park with a wave-like shape and round shade canopies. There's also a basketball court that serves as a spot for roller derby games.
Lovely deciduous trees line the edges of the park, and there are plenty of picnic tables. The rolling San Luis Obispo hills form the backdrop. We had a really nice stop here after a long car drive. It was a crisp, sunny day- typical Fall weather in San Luis Obispo.
A sweet little park with a merry go round and lots of shade is just a minute away, Anholm Park.
If you're in the area on a Thursday, don't miss out on the fun party scene at the farmers market in downtown San Luis Obispo.
Kids love imaginary play at the San Luis Obispo Childrens Museum.
Also, don't miss out on the gorgeous beaches around here: picturesque Avila Beach; one of the many lookout parks at Shell Beach; or the butterfly preserve at Pismo Beach.
