Harn Museum of Art, Gainesville, North Florida FL

Description

The Harn Museum of Art is a pleasant art museum, and a great place to beat the summer heat! Come see what new exhibits they have! Entrance is free, which is excellent! An interesting collection are the masks from various African countries.
They also have a pretty Japanese garden, for winter days. The building is roomy and airy, and they have a kid's room with ideas for creations to make- very fun! The gift shop is also a nice place to browse.
The museum is right next door to the Florida Museum of Natural History, near the University of Florida Gainesville campus. After your visit, have a delicious meal of curried palm hearts at Reggae Shack!
