Description
Kapiolani Community College Farmers Market is a heavenly spot! Here, under the jagged peaks of Diamond Head are three rows of stands selling all manner of tropical fruits, coconut drinks, hot meals, plants, and flowers. Some of the fruits are truly beautiful such as the almost fluorescent purple dragonfruit. There are mangos, papayas, guavas, oranges, breadfruit, giant avocados, passionfruit, starfruit, pineapple, apple bananas, ginger, and vegetables, depending on the season. You can pick up hot Korean food, pesto pizza, fresh-cooked corn, and more. Other treats are scones, banana bread, and fresh whole-grain breads.
This farmers market is very popular, including with tourists from Japan.
To add to the delight, next to the parking area is Kapiolani Community College's world-class cactus garden! What a delight to see the incredible varieties of cactus planted on a slope. You can walk up stairs to see more. Enjoy the wonderful Hawaii breezes, the trees, and the mountains in the distance.
Afterward, go for a swim at Waikiki Beach!

There are policemen directing traffic. Parking is free and you can find a spot if you circle around for a few minutes.
