Calypso Bay Waterpark in Royal Palm Beach has a great feel to it! Come after 3pm when you get $2 off and it's also not so bright out. My favorite part is the lazy river, which winds around past clusters of coconut trees, and has quite good strength to the water's pull. You are required to take a tube to float around on. The lazy river lasts for quite a while too, and at one part you go under a bridge and some water falls down on you. Another fun part is the lily pad walk, a type of rope monkey bar course where you must stand on floating circles that move about while you make your way across the ropes. Looks hard!

There is a full play structure in knee-deep water (splash playground) with sprayers and water that shoots super high into the air, and a bucket of water that fills and empties on your head! Little kids love this area. The water is too warm here, so move over to the lazy river when you need to cool down.
There are two large, twisty waterslides. One of the two waterslides is for children over 42 inches tall but under 120 pounds. Older kids only have the choice of one slide, which moves fairly slowly. In that way, this park isn't that great for teens, except for the lazy river which is fun for all!
There are plenty of shade canopies all about, and even a small corner of shade in the water at the play structure area in the late afternoon. It's nice to sit in the shade there and watch your kids playing. What a great way to get out in the summer when it's too hot to do anything else. You don't feel hot at all when you're at a waterpark! Kids aren't allowed to wear floaties, but there are life vests for them if you'd like one.
Another fun waterpark is the Palm Beach Gardens Splash Park, which has a small waterslide, a splash playground, and a really cool splash pad where kids can run around different sculptures that spray water out. Palm Beach Gardens Splash Park park does not have a lazy river.
Had enough sun? Go to Wellington Mall (a 9 minute drive away)! Also in Wellington, check out Tiger Shark Cove playground, another gorgeous spot where kids can let their imagination run free on an ocean-themed wooden playground. Scott's Place Playground is another really nice one, with a wagon kids can shake back and forth, and horse sculptures to climb.
Visit Lion Country Safari (14 minutes away) where you can see giraffes and hippos and then enjoy small amusement park rides.
