Description
Daggerwing Nature Center is an attractive center that can keep your kids occupied for a short while. There are aquariums with animals such as a baby alligator- cute! There is a giant bug kids can climb inside. Outside, you can walk the boardwalk trail.
We came in summer and there was a huge ant problem that made it impossible to enjoy the nature center. It was of biblical proportions! I've never seen anything like it. Millions of ants, covering every inch of floor in the center and in the bathrooms and on the boardwalk. I don't know if it's like that in the winter, but I was surprised that the center was still open since ants in Florida bite.
There is a barrier-free playground at Burt Aaronson Park, where Daggerwing Nature Center is located.
After, check out Patch Reef Park, a super fun playground with many different sections (16 minutes by car from here).
