Description

Gardens Mall is a beautiful indoor two-level mall. It is big, with plenty to see and do. There are ritzy shops as well as a few kids stores like Build-A-Bear Workshop and Claire's Fashion Jewelry.
There are upscale chain restaurants such as P. F. Chang's Chinese (the food is delicious but the service slow and it's very loud and dark inside which makes the wait seem even longer) that are attractive inside and have consistent food. I like the horse sculptures outside  P. F. Chang's. The food court on the second level has a good selection of fast-serve restaurants, including Chipotle (yum!). Shake Shack has such yummy burgers with cheese melted perfectly over them, plus good chocolate malt shakes to share.
The mall is fun to stroll around on a stormy or too-hot day. It is usually packed with people, as if the whole town hangs out there! What makes it nice is that there are fake gardens with tulips, sculptures, and lit-up fountains throughout the mall, which is fairly low-lit allowing the decorative lighting to look even prettier. Kids love to run by the fountains and admire the lights! There is a glass elevator kids can ride to watch the fountains from above. One of the fountains leaps, and there are tiered streams that flow out from the fountains. The "gardens" are filled with Southern charm.
Another nice place to stroll is Downtown at the Gardens, an outdoor mall on a lake just next door to Gardens Mall- they have a beautiful tropical-themed carousel, a walkway around the lake, and plenty of shops and restaurants.
Across PGA Boulevard, there is a really nice Barnes and Noble with a large kids section with small tables and chairs, and a coffee shop in the center of the store. Check it out! This is in Legacy Place, where you will also find Gelato Grotto (with outdoor seating), Michael's Craft Supplies, and Best Buy.

Not that I am a big shopper but when I do shop I love to go to the Gardens Mall. The architecture is so pleasing. I love the bright spaces, color, and ambiance! The shops are fun..my personal favorites are Brighton, Macys, and Anthropology
