Cloisters Park Playground, or officially Cloisters Community Park, is in a pretty spot behind the dunes in Morro Bay, with an amazing view of Morro Rock. A huge lawn with winding paths is a fun spot for kids to tricycle. There is a medium-sized play structure with a sand floor. It is not particularly imaginative but has a ramp, bridge, twisty slide, two steering wheels, and a short slide. A dolphin bouncy adds more fun. There are also baby swings, and some picnic tables with a BBQ. The views of hills all around are lovely, especially in winter and spring when they are green.

A wonderful walking path goes through this park, called Cloisters Beach Path. In spring there are flowers galore on this path. It is sheltered from the cold sea air by the dunes.
After, have a dolphin-shaped cookie at La Parisienne in Morro Bay town, a six minute drive away.
