Lemon Grove Loop Trail, SLO, San Luis Obispo California

Description

The Lemon Grove Loop Trail is pleasant because of the wide open spaces all around you. You can walk the loop, or have the choice of other trails once you've walked a little while. One of the trails goes to the top of the mountain. We just walked for a little while and it was a bucolic scene. There are a few trees here and there, views of open countryside plus part of the town, flowering cactus plants, and wildflowers. The area in general is incredibly dry, and more yellow than green.
Afterward, have a treat at nearby House of Bread in downtown SLO.
You will also enjoy the most popular trail in SLO, Bishop Peak.

Plenty of parking and well maintained trails to Bishop Peak. Wear decent hiking shoes as the paths are a bit difficult. Worth a visit!
