Ramona Garden Park, Grover Beach, San Luis Obispo California

Description

Ramona Garden Park is a huge sunny park in the middle of the city streets of Grover Beach. There is a fantastic amphitheater for live music. In summer from the beginning of June to the end of September you can sit on the sloping lawn and enjoy free concerts on Sundays from 3-6pm. It's a wonderful way to end the day. Kids enjoy the little manmade stream with pebbles that runs past the amphitheater and the wooden bridge that crosses over it. There's a farmers market at the same time as the concerts.
After the concert, head down Grand Avenue to Pismo State Beach for a sunset meal by the ocean and a walk among the dunes.
There is a skate park (open limited hours) called South County Skate Park located six blocks to the east of Ramona Garden Park, at 1750 Ramona Ave.
On days when there's no concert, the park seems pretty plain, with not much to do, and there are homeless people sometimes.

This is a fun and casual location. Lots of fun to hang out and dance or just eat and drink with the locals and some tourists. The bands are typically local and talented. Wear your dancing shoes: )

Went to this park in Grover Beach and watched a concert series last Sunday--- a very fine mix of acoustic fingerstyle, slide guitar and ukulele and great singing by Adam Crowe.
