Description
NOTE: This trail was burned during the Thomas fire and is closed for winter 2018.
The San Ysidro Trail is a popular hike with some varied views. It begins in a neighborhood and takes you past mansions with pretty landscaping. A stream bubbles beside you (except in the dry summer season). In spring little flowers border the trail. After half an hour you come to some wonderful granite slabs, and you can see a tall granite rock face where rock climbers like to challenge themselves. Kids can do this hike so bring the whole family!
There are plenty of wooden signs telling you where to go.
If you can make it two miles in, you will see a waterfall (after rains) and some nice pools.
For some cooling sea air after your hike, drive a few minutes south on San Ysidro Road to Miramar Beach.
Or have a coffee on East Valley Road.
