State Street Farmers Market, Santa Barbara California

Description

The State Street Farmers Market makes you feel the abundance of life. Colorful, delicious, beautiful fruit, vegetables, flowers, honey, oils, and pies are laid out before you! Trees shade you overhead and the marvelous Spanish architecture on State Street stands on either side of you. Music wafts through the air, children laugh at silly balloons, and you feel a smile rising within you. Come in summer when the selection of produce is out of this world yummy.
Unfortunately, this part of State Street has a large homeless population.
Times are 3-6:30pm in winter and 4-7:30pm in summer on Tuesdays at the 500 and 600 blocks of State Street.
There are farmers markets almost every day of the week somewhere in the Santa Barbara area. Check each one out to add variety to your life!

This market really disappointed us. It was really crowded and the produce was mediocore at best. The homeless panning for money were sad. I felt pretty uncomfortable walking down the street, especially by the movie theater. Another frustrating factor was finding a parking space. We had to walk a long distance to get there.
