Beautiful spot to see elephant seals playing in the water, and hear their gurgling sounds like a bottle pulled underwater!
Wonderful wide open spaces with mountains of all shapes and sizes! First mile is shady. Four mile out and back, or five mile lollipop loop hike. Optional detours: architecture creations, or mountaintop swing.
You can't visit the lighthouse and amazing loop trail without an online reservation. You get to walk the loop and buildings by yourself, after a half hour talk by a ranger.
A memorable walk is along the clifftop trail at Estero Bluffs, with the wide open spaces, beach below with shiny green agate rocks, and shipwreck!
Stop to take in the sweeping views of layers of hills, the blue ocean, and Morro Rock in the distance!

Super steep, comfortable railway that takes you to the top of a 6,700 foot mountain, with views of stunning drops and Lake Geneva! Alpine hike at the top. Best thing on your trip!
A steep 0.8 km walk through dry grasses over a hill and to the other side, with views of the lake on both sides.
